| Artist Statement During most of my life I was a part of the corporate financial world, while also taking photographs and selling my photography, the best known of which was of Mariner Stadium from a helicopter in 2002 and sold variously by the Seattle Mariner's store and shops at Seatac. On a trip to New Mexico with my wife where I was taking extensive photos, however, I met an artist who was painting what I was photographing. After hearing her story, I was convinced that becoming a fine arts artist would fulfill the lack of challenge that I was experiencing with my photography. Upon my return to Seattle, I immediately enrolled at the Seattle Academy of Fine Art (now Gage Academy of Art) for beginning oil painting and drawing classes culminating in a years study in the "Landscape Atelier" certificate program at Gage Academy of Art. I currently work in my studio, and en plaine air, painting urban and landscape oil paintings, as well as sketches and drawings in graphite. In mid 2008, I was peer reviewed into membership in Gallery North in Edmonds, a co-op gallery, where my paintings are currently exhibited. Art Prints Copies of high resolution limited edition original oil paintings are available as Giclée Prints reproduced on special Hahnemuhle German etch archival paper. A Giclée Print is an accurate reproduction of original artwork. Prints of graphite drawings and sketches will be available in the future.
